The Punjab and Haryana High Court has dismissed with Rs 4 lakh costs review pleas filed by Taksh Media. The review-petitioner was complainant in a matter regarding recovery of advertisement fees from the advertiser M/s. Selvel Media Services Pvt. Ltd.

Taksh Media had filed review application in the court of Justice Amit Rawal for reviewing the order of the appointment of an independent arbitrator to adjudicate the applicability of advertisement fees/tax demanded by Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh.

The Bench mentioned in the order that “This Court is not only flabbergasted, but bewildered to notice such a vengeance and rancour against the writ petitioner (Selvel Media) in assailing the order of this Court vide Intra Court Appeal and as well as the review application.”

The cost of Rs. 4 lakh imposed by the High Court was directed to be deposited in the Welfare Fund Account of the Bar Association of the Court.
